Tis the season, and I for one am looking forward to this years holiday season. Family, friends, great food and awesome fishing is what will be going down here in Crystal River, FL over the next few weeks and if we’re lucky hopefully all of that crazy New England winter weather will hold off for a few more weeks so that we can finish up our incredible 2018 fishing season. And what a season it has been. It all started with the best winter Sheepshead season on record and it looks like it will conclude with some incredible backcountry Redfish Action.
Speaking of the end of the year, it’s with a heavy heart that I wish to inform all of the faithful Florida Fishing Adventure followers that I will be selling the spin and bait fishing portion of my business starting on January 2, 2019 to a new up and coming guide Capt. Lou Argiro. Please don’t worry about me in the mean time as I am not leaving the area nor am I taking a desk job. My intentions for 2019 are to focus solely on the incredible fly fishing action that the Nature Coast has been famous for. As most of you know my May and June dates have been devoted to Tarpon fly-fishing for the last decade and as much as I love fishing with families, groups, and anglers both young and old its time to change my fishing focus back towards my true passion, FLY FISHING.
Looking back on the 16 years I’ve been in business, I have shared many incredible fishing and life moments with families from all over the world. I CHERISH THESE MOMENTS AND LOOK FORWARD TO MAKING MANY MORE IN THE FUTURE! I would like to thoroughly thank all of you for making Florida Fishing Adventures what it is today. Without all of your support I would not be the great husband, father, and guide that I am today.

About the Captain:
I have personally known Capt. Lou Argiro for the last 8 years and during that time I have watched him grow into an incredible person, angler and guide as he has traveled, lived, and learned a variety of successful fishing techniques while fishing in Alaska, Saskatchewan, the Chesapeake Bay, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Capt. Lou’s fishing obsession all started at a young age when he was blessed to grow up and learn the game of inshore fishing while fishing the areas surrounding Tampa, Florida. As Lou grew older and attended college at Old Dominion University his fishing passion grew stronger than ever. When he wasn’t in class he found himself fishing off piers or nearby beaches but eventually during the summer of 2013 he scored his first paid fishing gig as a mate on the fishing vessel “Poacher.†After 5 years of working under a true Legend of the Outer Banks, Captain Devin Cage and after graduating college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering he felt the need to come back to the area he has called his home away from home for years. Crystal River is his home now and Capt. Lou is ready to share all of his experiences with his future anglers.
Capt. Lou’s passion includes sight fishing for Redfish, Tripletail, and Cobia and plugging for Grouper. But he specializes in providing a great day on the water for all visiting anglers no matter the skill level.
Feel free to reach out to Capt. Lou Argiro for all of your 2019 fishing reservations.
