Young Boats Gulfshore 24

The Young Boats Gulfshore 24 is the perfect boat for the Crystal River area.  From fishing in 30 feet of water to fishing in 1 foot of water this boat can take you there comfortably and in style.  The custom bay boat is made right here in Citrus County having all factors of shallow water grouper fishing in mind.  Our fishery is unlike any other in the state which is why our guide boats are different than anywhere else.  With a full tower in the rear of the boat it leaves the rest of our boat for a massive fishing platform.

From Young Boats Website, “How can Young Boats improve on two already established winners — the GulfShore 20 and Young 24? By listening to guide and charter boat captains who wanted to fish shallow, venture further offshore and accommodate six fishermen — the GulfShore 24 was crafted! We have combined many of our most popular features and created the ULTIMATE GUIDE BOAT. The GS24 is 2 feet longer and 6 inches wider than the GulfShore 22, and has a wide beam which makes for plenty of open deck fishing space. Because of the new tunnel design, it fishes extremely shallow with a running draft less than 6 inches and also handles heavy chop very efficiently.

True to Young Boats’ reputation, several different layouts are available to customize. As with all of our GulfShore series boats, the new GulfShore 24 is rigged and produced in classic Young Boats quality construction with an efficient “sprayed-on” gelcoat non-skid finish.”

Come aboard the Gulfshore 24 for a fun-filled day that will give you a cooler full of fresh fish and memories that will last a lifetime!!!

Custom Carolina Skiff

Months of research and years of fishing are what drove me to choose my customized 24 ft. Carolina Skiff, as my every day guiding vessel. A wide beam, large casting platform and 6 inch draft are just a few of the qualities which drove me to purchase this boat. My skiff’s 94-inch beam is wide enough to allow four anglers plenty of walking room while fishing.

The high sides on my skiff are just another added bonus of this boat because they keep my clients feeling safe, while also keeping them dry. Speaking of safe Carolina Skiffs are advertised as unsinkable. Now being comfortable and staying dry are great if you are going on a sightseeing tour, but for extreme shallow water fishing in the Crystal River and Homosassa area, I needed a boat that could draft and plain off in at least 6 to 8 inches of water. And my Carolina Skiff can. The bottom line is I had high demands and high expectations when I was looking for a quality fishing vessel and my Carolina Skiff has surpassed all my expectations.

My Carolina Skiff is powered by the most dependable motor on the water — a 150 hp Yamaha 4-stroke. Besides fuel economy and reliability this motor has enough power and speed to get us to the fishing spots before most other boats leave the dock. My Yamaha may be the quietest motor on the water, but it doesn’t allow me to stealthy approach a school of giant redfish, so that is where my Minn Kota 80lb thrust trolling motor comes in handy. It’s quite enough to sneak up on tailing redfish and has enough power to troll 4 anglers all day around Crystal River or Homosassa. Once that big school of Redfish is found my PowerPole Blade Edition is priceless for quick and quite anchoring. This newest edition of Power Pole is “Stronger, Faster, Better,” which is exactly the addition that fits on this custom skiff.

Go where nobody else can go.

Cotton Mouth Mud Boat

In Crystal River, our fishing is solely dependent on the tides and our winter time tides sometimes do not allow us to get back in the creeks where the fish love to be that time of year.

Well, we have figured out the boat that can get us there no matter how much water is in the creeks.

The Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Black Drum have nowhere to go when the water falls out this time of year — except for the many holes and springs in our area.

The Cotton Mouth Mud Boat is the only means of transportation that can bring us to these deeper pockets where the fishing is 100% like “Fishing in a Barrell”.
