Hunt the Morning. Fish the Afternoon.

Cast & Blast in Central Florida (Duck Hunting + Inshore Fishing)

A Cast & Blast is exactly what it sounds like—and it’s as fun as Florida gets.

You’ll start the day duck hunting at first light, then after the morning action we switch gears and hit the water for a shallow inshore fishing trip. It’s one trip, two adventures, and a full day of stories.

Book a Cast & Blast as a stand-alone experience, or it can also be added onto a duck hunting trip when you want to maximize your time outdoors.

How a Cast & Blast Day Works

Evening Before (Arrival + Game Plan)

Arrive the evening before your hunt. We’ll get you settled, grab dinner, and walk through:

  • Weather, wind, and scouting notes
  • Duck species and the best plan for the morning
  • Safety, shooting zones, and what to expect
  • The fishing plan for the afternoon (based on tide, water clarity, and bite)

Morning – Duck Hunt

We’ll be in position before first light. Captain Louie manages the setup—decoys, calling, and adjustments—while you stay ready for birds working in.

Depending on conditions, we may target:

  • Sea ducks (Redheads, Bluebills, Buffleheads, Scoters)
  • Marsh and freshwater ducks (Mottled Ducks, Ringnecks, Teal, Whistling Ducks)

Midday – Reset

After the hunt, we’ll head back, take care of the birds, grab a quick bite, and get ready for the water.

Afternoon – Shallow Inshore Fishing

Then it’s time to “cast.” We’ll fish the Crystal River area’s grass flats, oyster bars, and backcountry water for:

  • Redfish
  • Speckled Trout
  • Sheepshead
  • Black Drum
  • And whatever else is chewing that day

Why People Love Cast & Blast Trips

It’s hands-on, high-action fishing—perfect for experienced anglers, first-timers, and mixed groups.

  1. You get a full Florida outdoor day without having to plan anything yourself
  2. We match the hunt and the fishing to real conditions (scouting + tides)
  3. It’s ideal for groups: hunters, anglers, and “I’m just here for the fun” folks
