All Red Hot Fishing Charters are customized based upon the types of fishing opportunities available and the type of fishing requested by the customer. The Crystal River, Ozello and Homosassa areas offer a variety of different angling opportunities, mainly due to the vast amounts of unspoiled back county islands and crystal clear flats. Many species can be targeted during a day of fishing with Red Hot Fishing Charters.
The calm cool mornings could be spend casting for hefty gator Trout around grass flats and deep pot holes or even casting spoons to tailing Redfish in a foot of gin clear water. And our afternoons could be just as exciting as we pursue Cobia and Sharks on some of the many local structures sprinkled throughout the Gulf. What ever fish we encounter, I can assure you that every customer leaves with a fishing memory that will be etched in their minds forever.
Freshwater and Saltwater Trips all in One Day!!!
How would you like to mix in a Freshwater fishing experience with a Salt Water fishing adventure? Largemouth Bass in the morning or Redfishing in the Afternoon sounds like quite a drive, but not when you fish the legendary waters of the Crystal River or Homosassa.
With both the Crystal River and Homosassa Rivers being Freshwater Spring Fed Rivers our waters are teeming with Largemouth Bass, Blue Gill, Long Nose Gar, Short Nose Gar and World Record sized Yellow and Brown Bull Head Catfish year round. Our rivers 72 degree year round water temperature provides all of our freshwater fish with a constant water temperature that allows them to thrive in many of the canals, open bays and docks scattered along the rivers. Both artificial and live bait techniques work well and it is not uncommon to target all of these species throughout a days fishing.
The interesting aspect when targeting freshwater species along our local waters is that it’s not uncommon to tangle with many of the most sought after salt water game fish while fishing the same structures. How would you like to pitch a Shiner underneath a dock only to have a 20lb Snook or 100lb Tarpon latch on to your bait and take you for a ride? Can you imagine fishing a topwater lure down one of our pristine shore lines only to have a 15lb Redfish blow your lure 10ft in the air? This can all occur during one of our freshwater fishing charters.
Even if we are not able to encounter a few salt water species while freshwater fishing for largemouth bass we are only a short run down river to the open Gulf where the skies the limit as to what we can target. Redfish, Speckled Trout, Tarpon, Cobia, and even Grouper are all options to add to this adventure.
So why not create your own SLAM by including a morning or a day of Freshwater fishing into your outdoor plans?
